Pokhara - Muktinath Trip

The Pokhara-Muktinath trip is a thoughtfully designed trip taking a pilgrimage, spiritual, Mountain experience, nature, and cultural factors into sheer consideration. It begins with a short flight to Pokhara, which offers ample opportunity to see towering Himalayan peaks. A guided sightseeing tour in Pokhara enables one to explore major attractions and highly revered spiritual sites of Pokhara. The mountain flight to Jomsom from Pokhara is an experience of its own. The climatic conditions and landscapes of Kagbeni, Muktinath, and Jomsom are reminiscent of the Tibetan plateau. After having a darshan and performing rituals at Muktinath and Kagbeni, we will take a jeep ride back to Jomsom for an overnight stay.

Pokhara:

Pokhara is the second most popular tourist place in Nepal after Kathmandu, based on several tourists visiting there. It is the gateway for several trekking destinations likes of Annapurna and Mustang region. Situated at the elevation of 820m from sea level, Pokhara offers great views of the high Himalayan peaks: - Annapurna (8,091m), Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Manasalu (80163m), Mt. Fishtail(6993m), Mt. Neelgiri (7,061), Lamjung Himal. The Pokhara Valley has unique geography and hence it is famous for deep gorge, underground waterfalls, several lakes and caves. The famous Fewa Lake and Barahi Temple add attractions to Pokhara.

Muktinath: Temple of Salvation

Muktinath, in Mustang, Nepal, revered by Hindus and Buddhists, sits at 3800 meters, with Himalayan views.

Major attractions in Muktinath:

Muktinath Temple:

Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, this temple is one of the 108 divine orders, sacred temples mentioned in Hindu scriptures. Belief holds that seeing Muktinath frees one from sin and liberates one from the cycle of birth and death.

Jwala Mai Temple:

Within the Muktinath Complex, this temple has an ever-burning natural gas flame, symbolizing the eternal presence of Lord Brahman.

Muktinath Trek:

Adventurous souls can journey to Muktinath, immersing in Himalayan spirituality amid rugged and beautiful terrain.

Day 2
Fly to Pokhara

Fly to Pokhara, and check in to the hotel. Boating at Fewa Lake to visit Tal Barahi temple. Visit The Vyas Retreat which is under construction by Nepal Maharishi Vedic Foundation. Evening explores around.
Day 3
Fly to Jomsom and drive to Muktinath

We will fly to Jomsom by the regular morning flight, drive to Ranipauwa, and then a 30-minute uphill trek to Muktinath temple. Darshan, holy bathing, Puja, and meditation at the temple, and visit Jwalamai temple. Lunch at Ranipauwa and drive back to Jomsom. On the way, visit Kagbeni, the holy confluence of the Kaligandaki and Muktinath rivers. Kagbeni is very famous for performing ablution and Shradha or offering Tarpana to the departed souls. Overnight in a hotel.

Fly to Pokhara and sightseeing

Early in the morning, we will fly to Pokhara and check in to the hotel. In the afternoon, there will be guided sightseeing to explore Seti gorge, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave and Davis Fall. Evening free time to explore around.

Fly back to Kathmandu

Early morning cable car ride to Sarangkot for sunrise and panoramic mountain view. Enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas (Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), II, III, IV, Annapurna South (7219m), Mt. Fishtail (6997m), Mt. Neelgiri (7061), and Lamjung Himal. Return to the hotel for breakfast and then fly back to Kathmandu, and check in to the hotel.

Visit Kailash Treks will provide a private vehicle for the airport drop.
