Kanchenjunga Basecamp trek is one of the best treks in the eastern Himalayas. This well-crafted itinerary includes both basecamps of the Kanchenjunga: North Basecamp and South Basecamp. This trek offers opportunity to experience true culture of Rai, Limbu and Sherpa people of Nepal. The less trodden trail goes through several traditional villages and lush green rhododendron, bamboo and magnolia forests offering magnificent view of the Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world. Mossy oak forests with bamboo undergrowth are safe refuge for Red Panda, one of the most adorable mammals of the world. Pristine subtropical and temperate forests of the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area are ideal habitats for eastern-restricted range species of birds.
