Chisapani-Nagarkot Trek

Chisapani-Nagarkot trek is designed for those who would like to see breathtaking mountain views without spending much time and money. Chisapani and Nagarkot are hill stations and hence serve as vantage points for magnificent mountain views ranging from Annapurnas, and Ganesh Himal to Mt. Everest.

The trip begins Nice forest walk from Sundari Jal through some nearby villages to Chisapani. You will see breathtaking views of the Himalayas like Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Langtang Lirung, Gaurishankar, Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal, and many more. To reach Nagarkot, take a scenic drive through forests and hills. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the hilltops. During the tour you will meet local villages, meet people and experience their culture. The trail to Chisapani goes through the rhododendron and oak forests of Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. Sunrise and mountain views seen from Nagarkot are seen from nowhere in Nepal. The trip ends with a vehicular drive to Kathmandu.

Changunarayan:

Changu Narayan is among seven UNESCO sites in the valley, includes a traditional Newari settlement and a Hindu temple complex. The monument dating back to the fourth century it is believed to be the oldest Hindu temple still in use in the Kathmandu Valley.
The two-story pagoda style temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is mainly made of fired brick with mud mortar and timber structures. The roof is covered with small overlapping terracotta tiles as well as gilded brass ornamentation. Shrines of other deities are also found within the temple compound and celebrate Lord Shiva, and Krishna, among many others.
Wherever you look, the temple’s decoration features intricate carvings. The collection of statues surrounding the temple is also one of the best in Nepal; including stone sculptures and ancient inscriptions dating back to the Licchavi era fourth century. They have immense archeological, historical, and cultural significance.
