Annapurna Circuit Trek: Thorang La Pass Trek

The Annapurna region is considered as the best trekking destination for mountain scenery and cultural diversity in Nepal. Most of the areas of the Annapurna region fall in the Annapurna Conservation Area. Annapurna region offers several classic treks ranging from easy to strenuous, physically challenging and lasting from few days to few weeks.

The Annapurna Circuit trek has long been known as the best trek in Nepal and one of the world’s classic walks. The well-defined trails of the Annapurna Circuit trek follow the Marshyangdi Valley and crosses the Thoroung La Pass (5,416m) before descending into  the Upper Kaligandaki Valley which offers desert-like and Tibetan-style scenery. The walk passes through typical mountain villages home to Brahman, Kshetri, Gurung, Manangi, Thakali and Magar people of Nepal offering views of towering Himalayan peaks. The trek also offers opportunity for side trips and excursions to explore places like Ice Lake, Gangapurna Lake, Dhumba Lake, Muktinath temple and Kagbeni village. Breathtaking panoramic mountain views and sunrise is seen from Poon Hill. The holiday begins and ends in Kathmandu, Nepal.
